Robert
E. Goodman - email President and founder, has over 30 years of service in
the healthcare field. His experience includes operations, sales, and
marketing, as well as development of the MPM proprietary billing
software. He holds an undergraduate degree in business and is an
alumnus of the Darden Business School at the University of Virginia
in Charlottesville, VA.
Douglas W. Esbach - email Executive Vice President, has over 18 years in the medical billing and practice management field. Prior to joining MPM in 1999 he served 8 years as a Vice President with CompMed Inc., a leader in reimbursement and practice management for Radiology and Anesthesiology practices nationwide, and 3 years as consultant and General Manager of USServis’ Anesthesia division. Prior to that Doug was General Sales Manager, Branch Manager and Area Location Manager for IBM/Rolm for the South Florida Region. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.
Kimberly Roberts - email CPA, Controller, has over 14 years of experience in the field of accounting. She provides financial and administrative management for MPM and various clients. Before joining MPM she worked for the public accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche, and in the private sector as director of finance and administration for a publicly held media corporation. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond in Richmond, VA.
Janice Abbott - email Regional Operations Manager, Northeast Region, has extensive medical reimbursement and operational background with over 20 years experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining MPM in 1986 she provided on-site consulting, auditing and billing services for practices in the fields of Radiology, Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Orthopaedics and various other practice specialties. Janice is a member of the Medical Group Managers Association and currently serves on their Education Committee.
Mark B. Canada - email MHA, CPC, Regional Vice President, Mid Atlantic Region, has over 20 years experience in healthcare management. He spent the first part of his career with HCA where his responsibilities included hospital operations, business development, physician relations and quality improvement initiatives. In addition to oversight of MPM’s Mid-Atlantic Division, Mark is actively involved with the Radiology Business Management Association and the American Academy of Professional Coders (both locally and nationally) where he writes and lectures on current coding/billing topics. He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and a Masters in Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia.
Clarissa Harris - email Regional Vice President, Southeast Region, is an experienced healthcare industry executive with over 25 years of practice management experience encompassing all facets of accounts receivable management, third party contracting, and medical office management in both radiology and anesthesiology. She is responsible for the successful business operation and client service delivery in her five state region. Prior to joining MPM in 1999 she was Regional Vice President of Operations of the Southeast Region for both Per Se Technologies and CompMed, Inc.
James Freeman - email Director of Management Information Systems, joined MPM after a 10-year career of System Design and Development in manufacturing. His department is responsible for the development and integration of our proprietary software and the rapid response to our
billing office needs, as well as physician requests. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY.
Susan Jones - email Project and Implementation Director, has been in the healthcare industry for over a decade and is responsible for the seamless and efficient implementation of MPM billing software and hardware in a new client environment. In addition to her training duties, Susan serves as a liaison between the employees in the field and the MIS staff. She has a degree in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC and an MBA from the University of Richmond in Richmond, VA.
Angela Patterson - email Regional Director of Operations, Southeast Region, has over 12 years experience in managing hospital-based radiology and anesthesia practices and has worked with 2 national practice management firms. Angela has extensive experience starting and managing field business offices and billing personnel, and is instrumental in the design and implementation of MPM billing software. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in both Business Management and Economics, with a minor in Accounting, from Berry College in Rome, Georgia.
Tawyna Taylor - email CPC, Business Analyst, Compliance Officer, came to MPM in 2002 after gaining her experience in managed care systems, accounts receivable management, and contract negotiations at a large multi-specialty clinic. In addition to her role as Compliance Officer, Tawyna is a key member of the account implementation team. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Emory and Henry College in Emory, Virginia.
