Unlike many of the other companies that specialize in managing hospital-based physician practices, MPM takes a decentralized approach by establishing local billing offices with local staff. This offers our clients a number of advantages:

  1. Our staff develops a personal relationship with the physicians, which enables them to openly discuss medical billing and coding issues that can impact reimbursement.
  2. Patients have a local representative who is familiar with their account. They can also make payments and/or set up payment plans at the office.
  3. We develop a more intimate relationship with the hospital personnel, who we depend upon to get the most complete and accurate diagnosis and demographic information.
  4. Our employees become experts on the local insurance carriers’ payment policies and claim submission requirements.
  5. We can take advantage of and build upon existing PHO/IPA relationships to maximize our contracting opportunities.

MPM utilizes a proprietary information system with our own in-house programming team. This enables us to rapidly identify and correct payer-specific filing issues and minimize employee downtime. Additionally, we can create custom reports for clients to track their collections activity by location (site), physician, referring physician, modality, or CPT code.

Most importantly, our medical practice management team takes pride in delivering a high level of service to our customers. In addition to regularly scheduled meetings to review financial results and update the clients on current regulatory, coding, and payment issues, we are in constant contact with them throughout the month to address their questions, solicit feedback, or to keep them informed of recent developments that impact their practices. If for any reason we are unable provide an immediate answer to a client’s question we can usually either find the answer within our own team of experts or utilize one of our many business partner resources.
